Currently at the city county building with maybe 500 to 1000 others supporting a resolution to try to do something to limit ICE activities in our town.

Definitely tweaked my surgery spot picking up some firewood yesterday I thought I'd be okay with. It was 10-15 lbs.

I don't think any permanent or serious damage but it's sore..ugh. PT told me if this happens to be sure to back off and rest 3-5 days. So today is day 1. Just gotta be super […]

I made roast chicken and radishes, with white chicken chili, and I'm also about to finish some roasted raspberry apple sauce.

Everyone already left but I had fun […]

Gonna go and buy a bunch of hand and foot warmers and give em out to the poor folks living in tents in this fucking cold snap

Fortunate to be in a situation I can afford to do that.

Desperate to engage with my community in some way and show the least fortunate in my town some degree of […]

I have gotten an abnormal amount of marketing emails today for services I signed up for once and never used again

Has anyone else gotten a surge of these today?

Literally was about to delete this post being like "this is dumb" but then got another one and my husband mentioned he did too

I've been waiting for something that I can send to people from far away looking to understand the situation we're facing in Minnesota that gives an accurate précis which conveys the seriousness without resorting to hyperbole; Ms. Polgreen has furnished that.
I went to Minneapolis last week. What I saw was horrifying and inspiring in equal measure. Gift link to my latest column: www.nytimes.com/2026/01/19/o...

Finally sat down and built the box fan filter thing for my living room which gets poor air circulation and I feel so silly for having done this sooner

If there's a thing you've been meaning to do but haven't, fake some time today to do it! Or at least start it. It feels good!
