Stopmotion (2023) Creative take on the mythos golems. The soundtrack was superb, reflecting Ella's eerieness and displaced mental state. An increasingly disturbing and beautiful way of showcasing the pressure of parents and the pressure we put on ourselves as artists.

So for the month of January, They Watch At Night will be taking a brief hiatus. December was just a bit more difficult than anticipated and we’re going to take some time to recover, but never fear, we’ll be back in February with all new content.

If I could choose one cryptid to see, not film or anything but just for the personal experience, it would definitely be Mothman

Day 31 of Dread Nights

The Thing

Easily a contender for the best horror movie of all time. With scenes that stick with you long after the movie is done, this is just one of several movies that have cemented John Carpenter as the greatest horror movie director of all time.

Day 30 of Dread Nights

Yellowjackets

A standout show with an equally prolific cast. Using both the past and the present, it keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. Strange events, horrifying choices, and mysterious forces, all culminate in such a treat to watch.

Day 29 of Dread Nights

Alien

Classic, eerie, and ultimately one of the top horror movies of all time. Spanning a franchise over 44 years, the movie that started it all. Superb acting alongside a vision of terror in space, it's no wonder everyone loves seeing the Xenomorphs on screen.

Day 28 of Dread Nights

Barbarian

Uniquely paced and extremely satisfying, this movie goes the distance with its concept, and the acting runs wild. With twists, shocks, and equal parts brutality, it's easy to see why this was such a breakout hit.

Day 27 of Dread Nights

Sirenhead

Created by Trevor Henderson. It's described as having a 40-foot skeletal frame with dried flesh. The twin sirens that sit atop its head can emit sounds similar to human conversation, white noise, and other radio signals.

Day 26 of Dread Nights

Not Deer

A cryptid in the Appalachian region, described as having 'forward-facing eyes like a predator' and some level of advanced intelligence. Beware of seeing any of these long gangly limbed creatures at night as they have been known to be aggressive
October 27, 2023 at 12:12 AM
Day 25 of Dread Nights

The Fly

Arguably one of the greatest horror movies to exist, a beautiful mix of body horror and tragedy. Splendid acting from legends like Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis, combined with Cronenberg's masterful direction, it's truly a timeless movie.

Folks please be careful out there this time of year, demon possession has hit the fruit this year and it looks pretty mad

Day 24 of Dread Nights

Glorious

A unique take on cosmic horror; This eccentric film takes the dulcet-toned voice of J.K Simmons, pairs it with the acting stylings of Ryan Kwanten, and throws them into a dirty rest stop together. Gruesome, Funny, and an absolute pleasure to watch.
