No. They have a presumption of innocence. That's different and they have to accept due process. They have been denied bail due to the seriousness of the allegations against them. The judge at their bail hearing must think that there's a reasonable chance of conviction with a substantial jail term.

Your logic supports paying them $1,000,000 an hour. Let te market decide. If they don't like the wages, go somewhere else.

Also, look at the taxes in Denmark.

In 2021, Denmark's tax-to-GDP ratio was 46.9%. The United States had a much lower tax-to-GDP ratio of 24.5%.
