As a historian, I'll add: As a Nazi ally, the Soviet Union provided Hitler's war machine with petrol and the raw materials to aid it in its blitzkrieg against Britain and France, pushing British forces off the Continent.

As a historian, I'll add: As a Nazi ally, the Soviet Union provided Hitler's war machine with petrol and the raw materials to aid it in its blitzkrieg against Britain and France, pushing British forces off the Continent.
