A great foundation for what I'd like future Pokémon games to look and feel like. The new combat alone makes this the most inventive one in years and I had a lot of fun exploring the open world. Main gripes are with the presentation and mission variety but I liked it!

An excellent sequel to a PS4 gem. Combat is challenging, yet satisfying, the characters and setting are much more memorable, and the art direction remains undefeated. It doesn't reinvent the genre, but what it does, it does with confidence and flair.
