I’ve lost almost 100 lbs this past year from hiking, backpacking, Zepbound, and two knee replacements. I’m a new person. This is my space to celebrate myself, my love of nature, and maybe be an inspiration to someone else.

For our first camp of 2025, we went back to Hipcamp ‘The Slab’ in Fountain Run Kentucky. This would be our fourth time camping there.
Upon arrival, we were surprised to see flood damage in the campground. But we made it work, and had amazing time.

I am so looking forward to warm weather. Since I’ve lost all of this weight, the cold hits differently. I’m slowly building up my high quality cold weather gear, but I’m not there yet. I hope I actually can adjust to the cold. This is all new to me.
