Hyperfixated on movies. I love stuff with aliens, ghosts and dinosaurs. The more special features, the better!
Also, why does Fincher get the blame for this? Vincent Ward’s script (which got ALIEN 3 its greenlight) killed them off, and Hill/Giler worked on the script after he left. Surely they could’ve revived Newt and Hicks. I’m fairly certain Weaver was also for Ripley being a solitary figure at the time.

And since my job gets snow days too, these days I’d sub out the Twizzlers for Doritos and the Dew would be zero sugar.

Thanks for the internet archive tip. Ended up finding two recordings with this broadcast yesterday: one with Star Trek after and another that cuts into Teddy’s First Christmas and Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town, with TV spots for Home Alone 2 and Aladdin. My night was made!

I must agree. There’s something inauthentic about this trailer. The way the shots move, how Evans appears frozen in time. If I hadn’t seen it in front of Avatar, I’d dismiss it as a fake YouTube trailer.

Bad Guy: “He wouldn’t.”

Worf: “Yes. He would.”

I kinda dug them but didn’t have much of a choice either way, I’m afraid. It was whatever I found on store shelves or my parent’s got me. Thankfully, I had the standard GHOSTBUSTERS and KARATE KID releases. On the other hand, my GOONIES was the WB Family clamshell.

Ah, the experience of discovering film through television in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s. The sequels networks would program the most were typically the ones nobody liked.

I loved this line. I remember they slapped the wrong rating on GHOSTBUSTERS (making it unofficially PG-13) and for some reason they also released LOOK WHO’S TALKING in a clamshell, but that might’ve been before they introduced the “Family Home Entertainment”branding.

I’ve definitely seen TMNT 3 at least six times.
