I have other interests, but come on... I need the sports news.
Feels like an apple picking and shelf construction kind of weekend is on the way.

I understand why Arteta et al are happy to leave the media and opposing fans in the dark about injury news wherever possible as they have shown a willingness to take ANY even POSSIBLE competitive advantage.

But it is exhausting.

I'll be happy if any two of those six are ready come NDL time.

It is MADDENING that our hopes are all pinned on "after the international break" which appears to be the theoretical timeline for all 6 of Jesus, Havertz, Madueke, Odegaard, Martinelli, and Gyokeres.

That's 6 rostered attackers out of 13 who are all supposed to get fit at about the same timeframe?

"Guys, we are only down 1! We are still in this thing! Let's go get th... wait... who's coming on? Oh. Oh, no."

"Tossing" this game would Likely mean starting:
Kepa, White, Mosquera, Hincapie, MLS, Norgaard, Merino, Nwanieri, Martinelli, Trossard, and Dowman.

That lineup can compete w/ Brighton.

I'm greedy and careless, but I still have dreams of designing a "4senal" t-shirt for winning the quad.

What we're watching isn't normal. 25-3 goal differential in 12 games.

My favorite JT stat? He's leading the league in TDs even though the Colts have SIX rushing TD's from the goal line that went to OTHER players.

For the record, his name is Phillip Goodrum for Louisville City FC in the USL Championship. The goals came. The wins kept coming.

Strikers are held to a weird standard for goals. I care about effort, intent, and team results. Gyokeres is meeting my expectations.

I cheer for a local team that signed a marquis striker before this season. He got off to a slow goal start. But he was lively, drawing defenders & eyeballs, and our team was winning. I said "If he's healthy all year, the goals will come. And if they dont but we keep winning? Who cares?"

Same deal.

I have no problem if ref had said "play on" there. but he didnt. He called a foul. The standard to overturn an onfield call is meant to be "clear & obvious". If you have to look at a play 30 times in slow-mo then it isnt clear/obvious.

And to me, Kevin STILL went through the leg to get the ball.

Timber is the biggest snub for me. Rice & Zubimendi suffer in comparison to MF that put up gaudier statistics. Gabriel & Saliba awill always be considered a pair. Raya doesn't face enough shots. Saka has missed significant minutes.

But Timber is the absolute business and should be regarded as such.
