There was a lot of busy work and it was very repetitive.

It’s hard to keep my son focussed and he needs a challenge. He’s currently in a “can write, won’t write” phase so unless it’s actually handwriting practice, I don’t want anything too writing heavy.

...as requested by 7, and kind of alternating it with BYL, skipping books he has little interest in. It's working but it's complex! We follow many other books, unit studies, and bits of curriculums 🤣 This seems to work for us.

We tried B&R for 1st & we didn't like it, but our homeschool friends wanted to do B&R science this year, so we're doing that together. The science is fine.

What are you thinking of switching from?

We're doing BYL, which we loved for 1st & are not loving for 2nd.

I think the algorithm sees it as engagement? You get an automatic reply like they’re replying to your message.

I don't mind them until I do. I was loading the dishwasher and they got a little soft and that was it, they had to go. It's not the first time. It makes me feel fuzzy just thinking about it. Blergh.

I found a bloom similar in colour to this last week and had to take a photo 🙂
