Pretty sure we know how this will go:
1. Maxwell becomes a cooperating witness
2. She's released & charges dropped after making vague, unprovable accusations against Dems
3. Pardon
4. John Roberts is "deeply troubled"
5. Lisa Murkowski threatens action but pisses her pants
6. The party never ends

Great job of quick-thinking and jumping-in by that guy, so glad he was there.

Good thinking by the girl too but the real shame is that either had to act that way.

I'd like to think I'm as ready to step in as that man was, though the girl would have to say I was her dad & not boyfriend.

MI Dems have two good choices in this race. I wouldn't be disappointed with either.

Rogers has gone progressively harder MAGA over time and it will be interesting to see what he does when that tactic becomes a liability.

I've been boycotting Florida since I first understood that half the state takes pride in idiocy - that's actually true for many Red states, but FLA seems to want to put it on the State Seal.

Used to love to vacation there but haven't set foot there for over a decade. So, sure, count me in!

Murkowski will henceforth be known for that catatonic 1,000 yard stare. It's emblematic of all supposed reasonable Republicans who claim to have a spine, then bend to their Orange god.

Let's make sure that's her legacy forever.

So true, yet the despot's party is the one screaming about liberty the loudest, gets a huge hard-on thinking about revolution, and was formerly known as the Tea Party

All so that a few hundred Millionaires can reach Billionaire status, a few current Billionaires can make Trillionaire, etc.

I never wish for bad things to happen to poor people, but a lot of poor people who receive Medicaid, SNAP, etc. voted Republican and I hope they see what they did.

Classic GOP: someone representing a state with less people than many California cities has a chance to do the right thing, remembering that the "upper chamber" of Congress has an obligation not only to their state but to the entire country, then takes the pork and goes into a catatonic stare.

Senators do represent their constituents & wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't, but as the "upper house" they also have a responsibility to the whole country.

Murkowski sometimes gets this, but sold out for pork & seemed to think staring awkwardly could fix it. You can't trust a Republican

Still my all time favorite after, evidently, 45 years.

There's a little snippet of a street crowd dancing at the end of the Ray Charles scene. I've heard that wasn't planned & was just a bunch of onlookers at filming caught up in the music. That always said a lot to me about this movie's appeal.
