The idea of Gail Simone shouting "Why don't you take a seat?" as she throws a chair at a transphobe fills me with glee.

Share a movie you've watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (either War or Trek), LOTR, or Marvel!

A moment in Superman (2025) that sticks with me
.. spoilers for the ending...

Is when Mister Terrific comes into Lex's control center to stop the rift. One of Lex's guys goes "I can help" and he tosses the guy aside and says "I don't need your help" (I think he said it punchier).

CW: Mental Health and Suicide (I'm fine)

If you want to understand how ChatGPT is contributing to multiple suicides, consider how we work and it works.

LLMs take in information and look for predictive patterns. It's not conversation. It's what statistically follows.

"If something incomprehensible is happening in Fandom, it's probably Star Trek's fault" is at once one of the funniest things I've heard today, and probably true.

The YouTuber in question isn't talking about Star Trek Fandom, btws.

As someone who deals with tummy stuff, this could be useful. That said, why does there need to be "end to end" encryption? Just store the information locally and email a zip to your doctor...

Companies want to charge us to sell our information...

Deconstruction is a linguistic tool to help you uncover meaning and find the underlying ideas that the author/artist doesn't want to express directly.

It's not a literary theory in and of itself.
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

If you don't have Nebula, why? Get it and go watch his Light Work video on OBAA. I guarantee it's going to be better than it is on YouTube.

Today we recognize that Columbus’s arrival began centuries of violence, dispossession, and attempted erasure of Indigenous peoples. I carry the pain of generations before me, and their resilience is my survival. But it is a future of rematriation that keeps me moving forward.

It doesn't matter if he was dating a transgender person. Wanting to sleep with someone has 0 to do with whether or not you actually care about their rights, support them, or share any political ideology with them.

My source? IDK. We'll start with the suffragettes and go from there.

There's no clearer indication of how capitalism was designed to enshrine the manorialism and preserve some amount of feudalism than how property of middle and lower classes is treated upon death.

It's literally enshrined into our social safety net...

Was talking to someone about the disconnect we have in the US around laws concerning minors and reaching the age of majority through 21.

The common denominator is that we don't treat children as people. We treat them as the property of their parents.

That's bad.
