Podcast about TTRPGs around the world. Irregular release schedule.

If you are from a non-English speaking culture and in any way involved in TTRPGs, I am looking forward to your message!

Was going to pitch a bad Hellraiser RPG, where you play a group of human outcasts who slither into a weird hell world of their own making with different factions, but then that's basically Kult.

My wife is always surprised about how I know so many details about my kid and I'm like "we play games and Lego and stuff, it just comes up during play"

... apparently a lot of "kid friendly" games just offer simplified versions of the classical dungeon crawl. Even if it's cute artwork and simple rules, that's just one very specific way of role-playing, and not necessarily the best entry. My entry was via Hero Quest, but a different way is possible.

I have a podcast about #TTRPGs in different countries. After a longish break, I recently released the Mexico episode. So if you are wondering why many Mexicans prefer to not set their chronicles of VtM in their home country, check it out here: open.spotify.com/show/0z4WwX6...

I know at least two British comics in which that is a plot point.

The other day, I was on a train in Germany and a woman in her 50s I guess asked where the non-smoking wagon was. People kindly pointed out that there haven't been any smoking wagons in decades, to which she replied "I haven't been on a train for a really long time..." (it's been banned since 2007)

When I was a kid and red the comics, I imagined Hobbes to be the way Waterson says here.

I knew names like Andy Chambers and Gav Thorpe much earlier than Gygax if that counts.

Was wondering... if Jesus is a "religious deity", is there also a non-religious deity?

Especially because I kind of look like him :(

I really enjoyed this article. As I recently posted somewhere else, Japanese is one of the two languages I'd like to know just for the #TTRPGs (the other one is Spanish).

First time I hear of "gaymer" and it's an awesome word! So do the numbers on the d20 have any significance I am missing? Cool pins!

I recently got admonished in a review of a paper in which I mentioned "Twitter" and I explicitly did not correct it. (the context was media use of people)

This is a gaming convention in Nigeria and I am proud to be the first backer!

OMFG.
