Steps to installing an air compressor power switch.

1 - realize switch is broken
2 - replace with cheap local sourced switch that fits 1 to 1
3 - that switch lasts a week
4 - order better OEM switch
5 - wait weeks for it to arrive
6 - realize it has a different air fiiting for the pressure cutoff

Artfight starts tomorrow, but can't post my card, or update my refs because my pc & art supplies are in boxes while I build this free soundbooth I got from a retiring audiologist. Then I need to get right back to my two instrument comms. So much sanding, but they're so close to being done, it hurts.

If you use glitter in your instrument or furniture finishes, invest in the self-leveling sealers, they are worth it. I didn't have any when I sprayed this one, and it's taking way longer to level the finish on it than on other ukes. Faces are done though, once the edges are done, I can wet-sand.

Now that the van window is taken care of, and I don't have work for a few days, it's going to be all about sanding. Leveling the finish on these two commissions that I've taken way too long on. The pink one gets final polish after this, and the red one gets a color layer, sunburst, and more finish.

Window acquired! Hooray for scrapyards.

Found my model van at the junkyard! They have three, and they all have the window I need! $50+whatever the entrance fee is now, for a $500 part, but I'll have to pull it without help.

At con art commissions were fun. This was my first time offering them. Thank you to everyone who entrusted their characters to me.

Just got home from stratosfur. I've not even unpacked yet. Sales were meh, but the event itself, amazing! Exactly what I needed after a very rough week. Big thank you to everyone who participated in my largest music jam to date, 94 people dropped by for at least one song over the 5.5 hour event.

Well, at least I'm getting time to catch up on paperwork and play with art while I get over this. Tried making a mini Polaroid badge for my Wolf Link Fursuit. It was fun. 2.5"x3.5", dip pen ink, and watercolor.

One week since my last post, and I have accomplished almost nothing. I went to work for one day(hat branding instead of the usual leather), and immediately got sick. I'm just now clearing up, but still coughing up leftover gunk. Negative for covid, and the cats have been keeping watch over me.

Big thank you to everyone who dropped by my booth at TFF! Even bigger thank you those who gave my ukuleles new homes! I will get the few I have left up on the website soon, as well as post a public trello board for project tracking, and officially open up for art and instrument commissions.

I don't remember where I heard it, but, "If it looks stupid, but works, it's not stupid at all." Protect your hands!

Filing a big batch of fret wires.

How detailed of a map? I would be happy to help if you don't find a better option. Here's one I started but kind of got shelved as I build the underlying lore for the area.

One head filled in on the Sphere of Doom! 40 spaces left, looking for volunteers!

There was also this one, supposed to be Robin in the Link outfit, but it didn't end up looking like Robin (or even a fox) at all, so I'll probably just finish it out as a Wolf Link.

A compilation of all the art for the Robin Hood commission. Finally about to mail it off.

Clamps are off. The leds still work, and now to sand it sooth in preparation for finish.

If you, or anyone you know will be at TFF or Stratosfur, I can keep the original at my table so you can pick it up. If you want it.

Then refinement, inking, and graphite wash. Then the first attempt at color coloration with a filter. The one above, I manually painted in the right colors on a layer. Graphite wash is fun, and acts differently than watercolors, but it's hard to mix the few colors I have to match anything.

By dice roll, you got 22.5°left, 15° down on the sphere of doom, so here's the starting sphere and rough sketches stages.
March 21, 2025 at 11:29 AM
I didn't have the right colors, so I had to give a try at a quick color correction after. For this one, I tried to keep my dip pen variable line width style, but done with micron pens, which are easier to travel with. Color is done with graphite wash, a fairly new medium for me.

The connector was sold as a J45 slim rc car battery terminal. It will allow power sources to be changed down the road. Should the rechargeable battery fail, button cells can be used instead, or anything that puts out 1-3 volts. You can see it here under the ledger for the Floyd Rose Locking Nut
