Oooorrr.... we as a civilization are still using the equivalent of cardboard tubes to view the universe (that is TRILLIONS of miles/ whatever unit you want to use) and think we see everything. We are still in the stoneage comparatively to the universe.

Turning it off or airplane mode won't help either. Your phone is never completely off and can still be tracked. That goes for airplane mode... it can be tracked in that mode as well. Leave it at home or make a "faraday cage" and keep it in your car.
