My hope in all of this is to see more interesting rp venues over just clubs everywhere, and people actually properly engaging with each other again, without care if a person is modding or not.

That sort of thing has struggled lately as far as I can tell, and hopefully this becomes the first step.

ffxiv survived most of its lifecycle without Mare being a part of its existence, and that isn't going to change if it has to live without it again.

The doom-gloom around it is just silly, but the loss of it due to certain people's actions is very warranted.

Bigots, as soon as they have a spot spread like weeds, invading everything.

Call them out, block them out, and spread more awareness: because if you play nice with these sorts of people, they'll trample all over you.

So don't give them space, or room to breathe. They shouldn't feel welcome.

People like that scared off all the quiet, nicer, gentle talkers away, so this is what has to be done, and as a community you have to pull the full nasty root of the problem.

Bigots of all types have to be ostracized out of the community. No exceptions.

"Explaining it gently" has gotten people nowhere, because assholes will still be assholes even if you play nice.

So, you cant fucking scream 'drama' when you hear it being talked about, and people warning about it, because these people actually give a damn.
