nora: this picture of my union occupying a debt collector's conference and this photo of the Miners Institute my org is helping rebuild as a community centre spring to mind

nora: re-elected as union branch chair last night at a fantastic meeting of around 40 people, buzzing with energy for what we're going to achieve in the next year

gwen: I can totally see your points, I guess the context I'd like to provide is that by-in-large those Indian diasphora ppl in the UK who originated the British curry varieties self-describe as British. Traditionally its only in multiethnic cities that British identity outweighs English identity.
