I love how everyone is surprised by the fact(s) that both parties had their emails hacked by the Russians, that Epstein was obviously an espionage / extortion racket, that Trump undoubtedly used his hotels for surveillance etc, that there are a lot of powerful people who are deeply compromised.

Technology changes everything, the beauty of the Constitution was dividing institutional powers vertically and horizontally to create competition of interest along those lines as technology blurred and changed the world. However, a medium to large-ish federal government is the logical result.
