Anwyay, I just wanted to get this theory off my chest before he arrives in-game and we'll finally be able to get some of his lore. I can't wait!!

Not saying he doesn't love MC though!!! He probably started caring more and more about his pipsqueak as time went on. Maybe even trying to protect her in the process.

There's also the hint that they can destroy each other, leading me to believe Caleb may be a counter-measure for MC, and vice-versa. (I also think that he's another experiment from EVER, just like MC was)

Some parts of his trailer, when he states he had to "endure day after day", the words "stranger" and "deceive" appearing. He even says about MC thinking he had a chip on his brain making him act so differently and all. It really seems there's a contrast between old and new Caleb

Okay, so, first of all, this is just a theory because I'm so hyped for his lore!
To sum it up, what if Caleb was assigned to keep watch MC and grandma, putting on an act of a kind, brother-like figure just to get close to MC?
