🧵 We’re already seeing it:

🪖 National Guard being used against cities
💰 Aid withheld from defiant states
📉 Public services turned into weapons against resistance

The more we rely on what can be corrupted, the more we can be controlled.

Build before the breach. Build now.

🧵 Here’s the risk:

Systems that can be captured can be used against us. And they are.

“Obey or lose your housing.”
“Comply or forfeit aid.”
“Be silent or your kids suffer.”

Dependency is the leash.
Community is the knife that cuts us free.

🧵 This isn’t just theory, it’s lived survival.

When Katrina hit, FEMA failed. But neighbors with boats, food, and medicine saved thousands.

During Greece’s collapse, gardens and kitchens bloomed in the cracks of the state.

Where the system breaks, the people rise.

🧵 Why this matters:

The Black Panthers’ Free Breakfast Program fed thousands of children...

And terrified the state. J. Edgar Hoover called it “the greatest threat to internal security.”

Why? Not violence.
Autonomy.

Communities that meet their own needs wield real power.

Ask yourself this
Who do our movies honor?
The heroes who sacrificed for the greater good
Or
The ones who took a knee when it was easier to be quietly obedient?

History won’t remember your speeches in mansions.
It will remember who sacrificed their comfort for someone else’s survival.

Put backbone behind your words.
Walk away.
Refuse the contracts.
Cancel the meetings.
Stand where it actually costs you something...

The people you claim to support already pay dearly, every single day.

So stop preaching justice from behind studio gates. Stop shifting the burden onto those who can’t afford to “wait their turn.”
September 19, 2025 at 4:33 PM
Solidarity that costs you nothing is branding, not bravery.
September 19, 2025 at 4:33 PM
History shows this clearly
the few who risked careers in past struggles are remembered not for their wealth but for their courage. Everyone else is a footnote.

You say you do it for your craft.

But if craft was truly the reason, you’d still act, still write, still create outside corporate gates. You wouldn’t need Disney’s paycheck to tell your story.

So be honest: is it really about the art,
or about the status, the money?

We pay in jobs, housing, safety, and sometimes in blood. All while the powerful rehearse speeches about “standing with the marginalized.”
September 19, 2025 at 4:33 PM
Meanwhile, those with nothing carry the fight:
* Trans kids and their families facing erasure
* Black organizers risking arrest
* Queer voices, immigrants, workers, disabled folks fighting for survival
