Friday evening found four players gather for a Napoleonic game set in 1813. Ney, commanding two corps, was determined to crush the Austrians before they could concentrate. Schwarzenburg was undeterred & rushed forces forward to blunt the French. Another outstanding game. #6mm #Volley&Bayonet

This week four #1/3000th scale #Navwar Leander frigates depart the shipyards for service in the Cold War Royal Navy. Two are in the original their configuration while the others are armed with Seawolf & Exocet. Additional background can be found here: thewargamesroom.wordpress.com/2025/11/23/c...

Saturday evening provided an oppurtunity for a Sengoku Jidai game using #DBA & #15mm miniatures. Both commanders were determined in their attacks. Samurai, ashigaru & hastily raised town militia, were locked in sustained combat as the lines moved back & forth across fields borded by hills & hamlet.

Friday evening & a Seven Years War engagement using #6mm miniatures with the #Volley&Bayonet rules. The Austrians were alas badly handled by the Prussians whose attack against the Austrian right quickly gained momentum. A stunning victory for Prussia ensued.

Friday evening & it was off to the Franco-Prussian War with #6mm miniatures and the #Volley&Bayonet rules. Two players joined the Prussians while another two Naoleon III's army. Miniatures by #Heroics&Ros from my collection.

A few photos of our last night’s American Civil War game using #6mm figures & the #Volley&Bayonet rules. Set in 1863 Reynolds faces a determined Lee, though soon Reynolds attacks the Rebel left. A most enjoyable encounter full of tension for all the players.

Friday evening an outstanding 1809 game. The Austrians were on the offensive but French resolve was on full display. French counterattacks featured throughout, driving three Austrian divisions back with heavy casualties leaving the remainder unwilling to advance. #Volley&Bayonet #6mm #Napoleonic

Over the weekend my grandson (5) played his first wargame. He is taken with numbers & after playing “Dice Yatzee” he noticed several WWII ships on my gaming table complete with dice. After some discussion we deployed the Ancient Romans & Iberians. He enjoyed defeating my Iberians #DBA #15mm

Friday found Ney with X & XII Corps engaged against the Austrians in a stirring 1813 game. An initial attack by Rapp’s Corps suffered heavy casualties. As Austrian reinforcements arrived Schwarzenburg moved to the offensive forcing the French to give ground. #6mm #Volley&Bayonet #Napoleonic

Photos from last night’s #6mm Seven Years War game. Both armies advanced determined to engage. Attack & counterattack followed until finally a narrow Prussian victory was achieved. Another enjoyable game. #Volley&Bayonet

Last night’s Seven Years War battle using #6mm miniatures with the #Volley&Bayonet rules. Set in 1757 Browne struck the Prussian right flank with determination only to be met with Prussian resolve. The town of Lundorf would change hands no less than four times. Miniatures by #Heroics&Ros

Friday evening's stirring #Napoleonic game using the Volley & Bayonet rules & #6mm miniatures. Set in 1809 Archduke Charles was determined to land a crushing blow against Napoleon's left flank. A swirling battle developed with a bloody victory finally being secured by the Austrians. #Wargaming
