Not seeing a ton of glove-side fastballs from Bieber tonight, I think it's really hurting his ability to get whiffs on the slider off the plate.

Would make some tweaks if I were doing this manually. But, largely a lot of talent with a lot of control at the top of the board so the tool's working pretty well!

Catching up on Albert and his new slurve. The Banner had reported he noodled on calling it a sweeper. But. well. It doesn't really sweep and doesn't really have the depth to be a slurve.
Something with some glove side action could do really well in his arsenal, but this doesn't quite look like it.

These heat maps show how consistent Sugano's splitter was in the vertical plane which
A) is insanely impressive from a precision standpoint
and
B) speaks to how much the deception/separation off his fastball is in the vertical plane.
Very curious how it plays with fastballs more up in the zone
