A larch tree, viewed from across a lake. The sun is shining from an angle behind the tree, so it is mostly in shadow, but some green is seen the edges of the elegantly swooshing branches. There are other trees the background, and in the foreground, two separate mostly leafless branches hang down to form a frame for the larch. One falling leaf has got stuck on one of these branches. The sun shimmers off the surface of the lake, in the middle of which are some birds, including a cormorant stretching out its wings, but you’ll have to really squint to make that out.
