Having just been a candidate in a democratic ecclesiastical election (which still had LOTS of problems) I do not care which man gets chosen from among an oligarchy of men to lead an oligarchy. Why do the RC faithful put up with that patriarchal system? 💒🕊️🌈⚓️

Call your Congresspeople and tell them not to cut Medicaid! Medicaid is a vital program - we should be expanding it, not cutting it! #nocuts #medicaidforall

Proposition A to guarantee paid sick leave passed with 1.6 million votes in November because it’s what Missourians want. Out-of-touch electeds in Jefferson City need to wake up and respect the will of the people. #MOLeg #ProtectPaidSick #PeopleOverProfit #NOonHB567 @mojwjva.bsky.social

Prop A to guarantee earned paid sick leave won fair and square, and so many folks worked hard to get it on the ballot. Nearly 1,000 Missourians turned in over 210,000 signatures collected from every single county in the state. #MOLeg #ProtectPaidSick #PeopleOverProfit #NOonHB567 @mojwjva.bsky.social

Proposition A would help over 338,000 kids who live in a household with a caregiver earning minimum wage, letting them achieve better health and educational outcomes. Protecting paid sick leave means securing their future.#MOLeg #ProtectPaidSick #PeopleOverProfit #NOonHB567 @mojwjva.bsky.social

1 in 3 Missouri working parents don’t get a single paid sick day. They are forced to choose between their paycheck and their family's financial stability because staying home means missing prescriptions, food, or rent. Politicians should NOT overturn paid sick. #MOLeg #ProtectPaidSick #NOonHB567

It is both/and! Christmastide (& Epiphanytide) AND King cake season - we haven’t gotten to the Feast of the Presentation/Candlemas yet! AND Epiphany has “King cake” built right into it! The Twelfth Night cake we didn’t finish on 1/5 was King cake on 1/6! (The Feast of the Epiphany/Three Kings Day)
