Whether it works or not that's also a brilliant idea for the mirtazapine induced 2am cravings, I've been spending way too much on chocolate. Thanks a million 🙏🏻

Thank you so much! Already on a B vitamin complex but never heard of excedrin use for nausea before I'll definitely try it though I'm at my wits end 🤞🏻

Hi so sorry to bother you but do you by any chance also get nauseous just from sleep deprivation and especially right after waking up from a particularly short night and if so do you have any tips and tricks? I'm pretty sure I've maxed out pharmacological options I'm mostly looking for other ideas

Had no idea the sudoku to try and fall asleep was a common thing! I'm looking for people with chronic insomnia who get nauseous from waking up after a rough night cause I really need some tips and tricks cause normal dose metoclopramide isn't doing enough, any chance one of you knows what to do?

My bad I should've checked your profile before asking but I tend to get excited, microbiology and food safety are so interesting though! What are some of the most terrifying foodborne pathogens you know of? And what are some normalised food practices that really shouldn't be?

How do experts generally feel about bug hotels? Do they have any value over a regular backyard with a compost heap?

Makes perfect sense, do you mind me asking what the problem is and what other meds you're on in pm? Fexofenadine is a Pgp substrate and it'd be way faster to check if you're on anything that might interact rather than give you the full list of possible interactions

Different firms can use different fillers and coatings so without that information there's no way to answer your question with any certainty but the full list of ingredients can usually be found in the leaflet

It truly is such a fun read! If there's any other books you like sharing with students I'd love to hear about them. I've always loved physics and astronomy and I like being challenged so they can be more technical than this one for sure.

A Night to Remember by Walter Lord

Written some 40 years after the fact, Lord had the chance to speak with several survivors. The writing's masterful, the stories some of the most moving in human history. The only time in my adult life where a book has made me cry. Can't recommend this enough

Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman

Simple, informal, fun, and very uplifting. The author argues the majority of people are innately good with fun anecdotes and some interesting science. An ideal pick me up for when the news makes you feel hopeless.

Packing for Mars by @maryroach.bsky.social

Possibly the most fun I've had reading a book. The day to day realities of space travel, slightly less heroic, infinitely more charming. Beyond interesting, very informative, a little absurd, and often hilarious. All in accessible language.

A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf

Blurring the lines between fiction and nonfiction, this nearly 100 year old essay in Woolf's beautiful prose is still relevant today. As someone who loves quiet time alone I've come to appreciate it even more knowing how recently it's become a reality for women

Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer

What should have been an article about the commercialisation of climbing Everest becomes a firsthand account of a deadly storm at 26.000 feet. While it is only one version of events, I found it to be well written, captivating from start to finish, & thoroughly moving.
