Had a mental health day, I treated myself to brunch at R. Cafe & took a walk around Lake C. The trail around the lake is 1 mile: even ground, well maintained. Not the most exciting trail, but I would rate it appropriate for elderly hikers & young children who can walk.

What I look like these days. Just a selfie for self care. Lots of stress lately. Why does it seem like things just keep getting harder? Even daily tasks seem impossible at points. Trying to survive, and time flies by. Blink and it’s been weeks since I checked in with friends. Maybe even longer.

I cooked today after the #KpopDemonHunters sing-a-long at the theater. It was fun, little kids had a dance party at the front of the theater, and then dinner tasted good. Beef and veggies.

Freedom to Read: Dear library trustees and friends of the library, You must be aware that access to books and reading have such incredibly positive and profound impact on individuals, and those individuals are inextricable parts of their communities. Reading transports us into other worlds, lets us go on adventures we could never dream of, and helps us bridge human gaps, allowing empathy and understanding across cultures and countries. There is a small, rabidly vocal group that believes any content whatsoever about Palestine is inherently "anti-Semitic" because that small vocal minority believes that Palestine and Palestinians should not exist. There is a clear moral obligation for the safekeepers of information and knowledge to fight back against suppression of speech, against the modern digital and social forms of book burnings, to defend all of our rights to read. Please take a stand and be on the right side of history. The Palestinian people are crying out in pain and suffering, and those who believe they should be silenced, that Palestine should be wiped off the face of the earth-they are the ones telling you loudly, angrily, that books are hurting THEM. These books aren't hurting them. Do the right thing.
