AI, in its current form, is possibly the biggest scam to have ever been. It’s not intelligence, it’s just a prompts and scraping. The reason they need massive data centres is to store your data.

Let’s not lose perspective here. If you can afford to SAVE that much money per year, then you have a fair amount of disposable income. Some people literally have that amount to live on. #JustSaying

Here’s the thing. After years of underinvestment, someone has to pay the price. I’m sorry, but if it means public services actually survive, then yes, I’ll pay more tax. I’m afraid if we actually want some services, we have to pay for them.

In effect any profit after running costs would be the governments to use as they see fit. Be it investment in the infrastructure or stealing it for something else. Plus the added benefit of being able to lower prices to please the public.

I’m not against it. If it means money is pumped into the system, rather than given away to shareholders. I mean look at the mess that happened with Thames water. Bailed out by the government and still paying out to shareholders. It’s wrong, and basically immortal.

True. But after world war 2 they still had control of utilities etc, providing a second income stream to the government. Where as now, they have taxation and that’s basically it.

I mean. He’s not wrong. Who ever had won the last election was doomed to fail. It was a poisoned chalice. Years of underinvestment and privatisation has ruined the UK. It would literally take a decade, and a mega-ton of cash to fix. Neither Labour have.

I agree in what your saying. Only those are not the same drill. The one from Amazon is a hammer drill, while the other is just a drill/driver. Basically a mechanical screwdriver that can drill through wood and some metal.
