Tiny gardening on my small balcony/micro greens. 6b
Positive change doesn't flourish a hammer. *No* extremism is good. Violence is the hallmark of the stupid and the developmentally stunted.
Hardcore realist.
Building a new life with disability
I can get on board with that.

Archived humour ftw.

Perfect end to a trying, draining day. Creamy chicken veg soup with dill and mushies.

Now all I need is #cake. XD

Ok, wheeze, one more pot. Peas and garlic staked, caged and protected from the squirrels. Who I'm going to eat if they don't behave. =.= B*st*rds.
I'm toast, so I think I'm done for today. There's a pot of tea with my name in it.

Rough day today, I'll probably spend most of it taking it easy.
I got one pot put together - potatoes and garlic companion snuggled in a big pot. The photo isn't great, but the tremors are bad today and I haven't got a tripod yet:

Picked up these babies for the balcony garden: red apple potatoes, ozark beauty strawberries and oregano 8)
I'm hoping I can keep the strawberries alive on a balcony in 6b. Should bring them in to overwinter? Anyone else do cold zone container strawberries?

I have a hard time finding things to watch; I'm admittedly finicky in my own way. While I do love some of the new stuff out, I'm finding some older gems that I'm quite enjoying.
Right now it's The Musketeers (2014/UK) (love Tom Burke which is why I sampled it)

Trellis a tromboncio - heavy producer, dual purpose. Early the fruits are tender, like a zucchini, but if you let the later ones stay on the vine (only grow one of these bad boys) they will harden and develop winter squash hardness and keep for-ev-er.
Def trellis, though.

The palette.

The balcony is 14'x5', almost perfectly SW facing. The hours of direct light are not as long as I would prefer, but the intensity is high enough to grow actual veg and not just leafy stuff.

Muahahaha.

This is the zuchetta (or tromboncino) that I'm going to grow this year. I snagged this pic from WCS to show, that's not me or my garden. If you let these things grow on the ground they get all snaky and twisty. 😀
