It would be nice to know with whom they met. That might give a clue to what was discussed, and how meaningful it was to the murders or war crimes that were committed (has to be one or the other, unfortunately for the suckers who will take the rap).

Here's a thought. If the USA is at war, then surely UEFA will have to re-allocate all their the World Cup matches to Mexico and Canada?

In the UK they, or at least the Mail, Sun, Telegraph, Times and others with offshore, non UK tax paying owners, tell the govt what to do, and all too often are obeyed. 😡

Well well have to agree to disagree on that. In my case it just seemed like a game, which the prosecution lost, admittedly her fault, but the end result was a guilt man walked free with a healthy profit. Still, better 100 guilty men go free than one innocent man gets unfairly found guilty.

Agreed re those, and other cases, but that was not through the rules of evidence damaging the defence, rather the prosecution hiding exculpatory evidence. I'm talking about rules of evidence such as in re-examination. I totally want to avoid injustice for the defendant or prosecution

I'm not arguing against jury trials, quite the opposite. I absolutely oppose the govt's attempt to restrict them. Nor am I commenting on the entire criminal justice system. I'm commenting on rules of evidence. I believe in justice, and trials should not be a game, as it was in my example.

Well, in this case the criminal got away with over £40,000. That is bad for justice. I agree the prosecuting barrister made a mistake. I lost a day's pay through attending court to give evidence, the victim lost over £40K. Seems that the rules helped only the criminal.

I do not personally suffer these abuses, you are right, but the truth matters. If judicial rules get in the way of truth and justice they need to be changed.

They might, once jury trials are stopped. With a jury a guilty verdict would be all but inevitable, and the powerful can't have that. It might set a precedent, and justice might apply to them.
