Tech enthusiast automating the Fifth Dimension one script at a time. Currently in search of plutonium to get back to the year 1985.
And a few more. There was an actual ice slide at the base of Santa’s feet that you could slide down. They did a fantastic job with this exhibit.

Oh, wow! That’s awesome!

I don’t have an interesting story like that, but I did get to see an “A Christmas Story” ice sculpture exhibit back in 2019. They boasted 2 million pounds of ice, and the walkthrough was kept at 9 degrees Fahrenheit. Here’s a few pictures from that event.

This is definitely me, but so is this:

“Back to the Future” for sure! I see Marty McFly as an honorary visitor of #TheTwilightZone. I’m just glad for Martin Sloan in “Walking Distance” that Doc Brown’s second hypothesized possibility of encountering a past/future self didn’t come to fruition. 😜 #Zoners #ZoneSky #BTTF

If only Henry could have had some of these, things may have turned out differently. #Zoners #ZoneSky

I’d like to see an affordable Talky Tina doll. I hate to sound like Erich, but even he knew that doll was too expensive! 😜 #Zoners #ZoneSky

"What you are about to witness is a moment in time where one man is ensnared by the fog of mistaken identity. One Mr. Tom Brady is stuck in a nightmare of his past, broadcasting for all to hear in… #TheTwilightZone.”

Joe Dante has had a great career, but the 80’s were something else! And I had no idea he was a professional cartoonist. #Legend #Zoners #ZoneSky

Sounds like the 1964 episode “Number 12 Looks Just Like You”, which coincidentally takes place in the year 2000. Yet another prophecy from #TheTwilightZone. #Zoners #ZoneSky

I love this episode so much. It shows how the power of suggestion, even from the unlikeliest of places, can raise suspicions and invoke mob-mentality. Serling’s closing monologue sums it up perfectly. I’m glad the younger generation is being exposed to #TheTwilightZone. #Zoners #ZoneSky

However, my absolute favorite episode is “Walking Distance”. As we age, it’s natural for us to long for the innocence of our childhood and relive the past. Of course, the moral of the story rings true: we had our time, and me must keep moving forward. It’s a tough but sincere lesson. 2/2

I will share two of my favorite closing monologues of Serling’s, which I have shared in other posts. 3/4

I did the #BlueskyRoast and found out quite a bit about myself! The best part is the “Down the Rabbit Hole” section, which definitely sounds like a legitimate conspiracy theory that I can get behind (though it’s more factual than conspiracy). #TwilightZone #Zoners #ZoneSky

The #Christmas tree isn’t complete until #TheTwilightZone ornament is hung. A special appearance by Marty McFly - honorary member of The Twilight Zone. #BackToTheTwilightZone

If you haven’t already covered it, ‘Zombies Ate My Neighbors’ on SNES would be excellent subject matter. So many redeeming qualities, including an excellent soundtrack!

You are absolutely right. Rod Serling’s closing narration could have easily been written in the present, which is a somber realization of how little progress has been made (in terms of humanity) over the past 60+ years:
