If the car had historical and/or cultural importance then probably yes.

Carving your name in a random rock is not the same as carving it on Stonehenge.

So give me an example of 1-2 people who set out a plan, put the necessary weapons into a van, drove several miles, to video themselves killing a child whilst laughing and revelled in the notoriety until caught - and got less.

It wasn't just a simplistic 'felling a tree v killing a child'.
