MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME. I couldn't believe my eyes when this game was announced, and playing it for myself was truly magical. The remake is clearly such a labor of love, and every detail brought me so much joy. My favorite part has to be the new soundtrack!

What a fantastic entry to my beloved series. Van is great protagonist, so refreshing after spending so long with Rean. The new combat is STELLAR, and the music was tons of fun. I had no idea what life in Calvard was going to be like, but this game did not let me down!

I love a game where I can tinker with and personalize my build to be exactly how I play. Plus, this game is co-op with tons of content, so I can let myself get obsessed and never run out of fun to have. I had to pull myself away from this one to make sure I played other games!

Now THIS is a roguelike deck builder. I love the aesthetic of playing cards and poker, but I hate gambling/wasting money. And this game takes it a step further with some incredible vibes and chill music. It's so satisfying to craft the perfect Rube Goldberg machine and watch the score go!

God, Pikmin never misses. Pikmin 2 is my favorite Pikmin game, so this fan-edit makes the game just a bit different, remixing stage layouts, offering new challenges, and adding some surprising new enemies!Absolutely loved playing this and will absolutely be reaching for it again

DQ3 was never a favorite for me, but this remake improved on the game a ton. Tons of QOL improvements means the game is way less tedious, and having abilities too instead of just spells means wayy more options in battle. I can't wait for DQ1+2!

This game was a trip haha You can mix together any Pokemon, and artists upload pixel art of what they think this combo could be! The surprise and novelty of all the combos carried it, but it was surprisingly fun mechanically as well!

And indie take on Fire Emblem/war RPG style games. This game had menus on menus and I was EATING it up. I spent sooo long just tinkering with characters and battalions. The story was satisfying, but the art was really weird? It was a mixed bag but I love menus and job systems.

Roguelike deck builder let's goooo This was one a lot of fun with some great art and dynamic music! The coolest part is that, if you win, your party becomes the final boss for next time. I never got very good at it, but still a really good game

A short visual novel that utilizes your computers camera to turn your blinking into part of the story. And wow this one got me-- first time full-on crying from a video game! There's so much beauty in the human experience 🥺🥺

Super flashy and interesting one here. All fights are to the beat of some fun tunes, which had me really engaged and always kept me guessing. The lore felt too much like "game theory bait", but the story at a glance was still interesting and refreshing

Ys is always fun, especially thanks to the killer music. But a whole Ys game that takes place within the final dungeon of the first game?? And it's a prequel offering more insight into the lore of the world?? Count me in.
Still hoping to some day go back and finish the other routes!

A really cute roguelike deck builder! This time, you're adding people to your town and making intuitive and satisfying synergies. Super casual and a whole lot of luck, but still a lot of fun!

An interesting dice-drafting RPG! The best part of this game was easily the music, as the combat ended up becoming a bit too difficult for me. But animations were very well done, but the jammin' tunes got it this high

I never expected a sonic game to be this high in my list. I have a lot to say, but put simply, the easy difficulty, flashy animations, and nostalgic music meant I actually had fun playing this. Against all odds!!

I don't like platformers, but this short and sweet little game put a smile on my face! I really liked the music, and I had way too much fun riding around on Plessie haha Fury Bowser himself dragged the experience down though.

I saw this adorable paper-themed/pop-up book game in a Nintendo Direct, and I really wanted to try it. And it was very charming throughout! The art style is beautiful and absolutely the biggest draw. However, it wasn't an RPG at all and much more a point-and-click variety pack.

I absolutely love RPGs and Monster Hunter, so I assumed this game was gonna be amazing. And the story was really lame, like really lame. It was cool meeting new monsters, but I got pretty bored with this one.

I love the first two Portal games, and this fan-made continuation was cool! Very creative with some tough puzzles and interesting set pieces. But without the humor of GLaDOS or Wheatley constantly on display in the official games, I can't put it any higher.
