Voting maps should be drawn without regard to partisan politics to ensure elected officials are responsive to everyone they represent. Utah voters endorsed this principle in 2018 via Proposition 4. State lawmakers have been fighting to undermine that choice ever since. 2/

The Department of Justice’s attempted nationwide voter data grab includes lawsuits against 8 states that have refused to comply. This effort goes far beyond what the law permits, and there is no reason to believe this DOJ will respect voters’ privacy. 2/
