after what felt like an eternity, finally I was able to continue with my #Zosan fic Werewolf!Zoro x Vampire!Sanji
and since it is #wipwednesday, here is a little preview! 💙
He had to get him to the new room before the inevitable happened, before instinct overpowered the calm of sleep and the creature woke again. Sanji could barely stand. His entire body trembled. But with one final push, he reached his destination and let Zoro fall to the floor as gently as he could manage. A shaky breath escaped his lips as the beast’s weight slipped from his shoulders, easing the crushing pressure that had weighed him down the whole way. The moment the burden was gone; his own strength gave out. He collapsed to his knees. Zoro was still fast asleep, his deep, rhythmic breathing filling the silence. But instead of soothing Sanji, it only sharpened his instincts, putting him on edge. His legs gave out completely, sliding until his cheek and palms were pressed against the cold wooden floor. He tried to push himself up, grunting in a desperate attempt, but he was spent, drained from days of tension, of watching over the boys, of keeping Zoro in check. A growl tore from his throat, a flicker of anger fueling his struggle to rise. But the world spun violently, and suddenly his own body felt like an impossible weight, pinning him down. Zeff’s words came back to him in a dull echo: “You can’t starve yourself to death.” They hit him harder than he wanted to admit, filled him with a helplessness as heavy as the exhaustion crushing his chest. His stamina was all but gone. He shut his eyes, frustration burning deeper than simple fatigue. Because he knew the real reason for his weakness. It wasn’t just hunger. It was refusal. Refusing to live like his brothers. Refusing what he truly was. His body needed blood, the only thing that could actually restore him. And still… the mere thought of feeding, of turning an innocent into something like him in the process, was enough to keep him clinging to the edge of collapse. It was that denial that kept him from recovering. That pushed him closer and closer to a cliff he refused to admit he was already falling from.

the reason why tomato is so different in Italian (pomodoro) than in English, Spanish and French (tomato, tomate and tomate) is bc the word tomate is from azteca 'tomatl', but Italians named it like that bc the color: 'pomodoro' means 'gold apple', tomato used to be yellow
