I always got the invisible ink activity books when I was a kid. Don't know if they still make them.

And adding an 8 year old to the equation means adding a suitcase of activities for them.

8 hours? That's a suitcase of snacks.

Plus 3 books (1 sci-fi, 1 fantasy, 1 nonfiction), an audio book on Libby, a book of Sudoku games, a book of crossword puzzles, and 2 newspapers (physical of course).

And a new book from the gift shop.

- I replaced all the batteries in the smoke alarms and leak alarms
- I agreed to clean my mom's gutters
- I helped my eldest kid unpack her car (she's visiting from college)
- I made dinner (tacos)
- I tried and failed to sew a leather project

- shopped for mini excavator
- didnt catch truck on fire when brake siezed up while attempting to drive home with a 16 foot long 2x4 (photo attached)
- didnt cook dinner after a long day and had Chipotle instead #notsponsored

- washed dishes
- made a gallon of coffee (a week's supply)
- made vanilla pudding with eggnog (fingers crossed)
