Feeling nostalgic for and connect to my time spent in the Middle East this morning. So, shakshuka and homemade pita for breakfast and ude music on the stereo. 🇸🇾

Currently Drinking: El Cocobolo from Esteban Zamora’s farm in the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica. Brewed in a Chemex. Slightly astringent. A bit sour. Under extracted (all of this is my fault). I’ll see how it fairs on the Bonavita automatic drip maker once I get more coffee filters.

Started reading Robert Jordan‘s Wheel of Time series a couple of weeks ago. First novel published in 1990. I love getting lost in these created worlds, esp when this world I inhabit feels so overwhelming. Book 1/14. 750 pages. Will this series get me thru to the midterms? Thru tyrannical oligarchy?
