Hook ‘em forever, but that was a truly embarrassing fourth quarter performance.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a man in as much pain as Joel Edgerton in Train Dreams. And I say that as the highest compliment possible to his performance. Magnificent.

I think my biggest "Leonardo DiCaprio pointing at the screen" moment in Roofman was seeing the famous Express Inn and Suites just off Exit 14 on I85 in Gastonia. Never thought I'd see such a major landmark in a Channing Tatum film.

Roofman is the second movie featuring Channing Tatum as a divorced girl-dad who conducts a heist in Charlotte, North Carolina.

(Fantastic movie. Did not expect to tear up multiple times. Also forgot that Ben Mendelssohn was in it — and folks, his character introduction is an all-timer)

Remember that extended set piece at the Abu Dhabi Airport in MI — Dead Reckoning? Well, this is that for two hours. Taron Egerton is so stressed out, has so many intense phone and Bluetooth conversations, and runs like a madman across every square foot of LAX. What more do you need from the movies?

I saw The Order about 2 months ago, and seeing as its wide release is finally upon us, I’m re-sharing my immediate reaction. “Jude Law is finally getting a few lines on his face, unlocking his true form: A world-weary, lonely man who is compelled to be good at his job at all costs.”
