(2/2) We shed tears during the event and felt the joy of those in attendance, Amanda Gorham’s poetry, the music and later the fireworks. It was a happy day of hope that I will remember and cherish. Quite the stark contrast of today.

(1/2) Four years ago today, I went to my mom’s house to watch the inauguration. It had been two months since my dad passed away. Before he went into hospice he was able to vote by mail for President Biden as the rest of us did. The inauguration was such a cathartic moment for us.
