I feel like the automation part of AI at least makes some sense when you ask "why?". But I'm drawing a blank on a good reason for the why behind image and video generation. The Mendones v. Cushman lawsuit shows how image and video generation are destroying more things than benefitting.

I wonder if American pay is overvalued and the labor market will be in for a shock. PPP would not normally apply to labor, but the internet and remote work developments could be starting to change that. If companies are profitmaxxing or work quality is less important, then I can see more outsourcing

I wonder if there's gonna be a wave of embarrassment when the kids of this style of parenting are older. Imagine showing someone close to you your baby pics and there's obvious early AI errors, either front and center or a distracting background detail.
