I'm a millennial in one of the highest cost of living cities in the world. The amount of my peers in my or younger generations simply giving up on wealth is astounding. Having been on both sides on compound interest, lessons were learned both ways and I intend on fighting my way out!

I don't get it either. To me, the whole point of investing is sacrificing the opportunity cost (in terms of fun or other purchases) in order to grow the money you put in, so if you're going to play fast and loose you may as well gamble it instead.
