I thought The Batman was very good, but The Penguin was capital G Great.

This version of Gotham thrives in the smaller scale. The best action scene in The Batman was when he wingsuits off the police station.

I just watched The Driver. Here's how you know you'll dig it: The driver's name is Driver, and the detective's name is Detective.

I think wrestling would be better with an off-season. Fewer injuries, storylines don't get stale, you get to soft-reset once a year, and the fans don't have a chance to get fatigued watching two, three shows a week.

The whole DNA of early Family Guy was fully formed in Life of Larry. But Seth was already a seasoned professional before he got his own show.

Beavis & Butthead is probably the best example of a show creator who came completely from outside the industry/feeder schools, and defined the show himself.

Life in Hell is very funny but cartooning is a solitary thing. With enough time as part of the team he might have been a very good TV writer, but either he let his position as creator go to his head, or a bunch of Harvard assholes blocked him out, or maybe both.

We had a slide projector that we took out now and then around this time. I don't remember anyone actually coming over to watch them, but this was when camcorders cost like five thousand dollars.
