The other wonderful thing about visiting Manningham Library this week for the Summer Reading Challenge was getting to see the setting of our current staff book club text!

We are all enjoying The Mercy Step for its raw honesty and beautiful description of the power of reading and libraries.

A school, who we have worked with for just 12 months, contacted us recently with this feedback. We are blown away. To think our programme is opening doors for students that they thought were closed and giving them a voice is an incredible feeling.

Got a question or something you want to chat to us about? We are here during the summer holidays!

Today the DfE released their new RSHE guidance for primary and secondary schools.

There are some really positive changes. For example, the topic of bereavement is now statutory.

We are working hard behind the scenes to make sure our programme meets the new guidance.

When you have Story Project staff training with Laura, you're meeting with a professional who really 'gets it'. Having been a Deputy Head for many years, leading on ITT, and now having an NPQLTD Laura has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

We are so proud! Well done, Laura!

We love to see what children have been learning about in their Story Project lessons. Knowing that their lessons are helping them to understand wellbeing and what to do when they are worried is incredible! We never tire of hearing it.

Last week, we were involved in
@mediamuseum.bsky.social's 'Bedtime Stories' event.
Taking inspiration from their David Hockney exhibition, we read Simona Ciraolo's fantastic story 'If Winter Comes, Tell It I'm Not Here' and made 'seasonal fortune tellers' with children and families.
