like u gotta remember there's a large section of gamers who eat up AAA hyper real and in game purchase filled slop as long as its fun enough
they wont buy nintendo cuz lower scale graphics, hardware and it taking itself less seriously/being kid friendly

oh yeah its my top 3 too i more so was saying all that cuz any criticism of 7 in the fandom i find usually leads to backlash

also here's the 1st (pre release) and last (pre pass 2) polls for most wanted characters in the games unofficial discord (that did have staff in it despite being unofficial)
you can tell a lot of part 4 characters shot up in votes when they revealed that one of the dlcs was part 4 cuz aint no way

well again it is such a vague name almost any game could be an rpg by that definition

They're so old and can be traced extremely far back in every rpgs life
All the old original jrpgs and text based western rpgs were based on tabletop rpgs a quick search will show that ultima game you mentioned being based on final fantasy which was based on d&d

yeah i am cautiously optimistic about that one i was more so saying reputation wise at this point i think people are more willing to preorder a bf3 than a new battlefield due to the poor reception of the more recent battlefield games

if you think about it, it does open the floodgates for new vegas to get the same treatment
I think EVERYONE knows new vegas reused 90+% of its assets from 3 due to the short development window given to obsidian by zenimax

(Also tbh far harbor might actually be on par with questline stories in those non Bethesda games. but idk if people are ready to admit that, while their average is lower than obsidian/black isle, Bethesda CAN cook usually it's in a couple side questlines tho and not the main ones)
