It was actually supposed to be a lot longer and more artsy. There's a directors cut apparently that's way more violent with a lot of weird lingering establishing shots. I hope we get to see it one day. Spiral is also set in the modern day so it takes place when it came out (2021).

If you are confused on the timeline LOL everyone is. But the basic thing is (half of) Jigsaw is the first in the timeline and Spiral is the most recent. Also Saw X is literally the best one you're in for such a ride.

It means it's basically a spin off movie since it doesn't have Jigsaw in it and Chris Rock just wanted to fuck around in the Saw universe for a bit. I like it for what it is... but it definitely feels a bit out of place. It's a divisive one for sure.

Yeah, I would have been interested to know what the movie would have been like if they kept it as two separate films. It being in 3D (which according to reviews wasnt even good 3D) really ruined it. You can't even watch it in 3D now anyway.

ALSO ALSO the director of Saw VI DID NOT want to make Saw: The Final Chapter (he was going to make Paranormal Activity 2 instead) but the studio again basically forced him via contract to do it. Everything was against this movie so if you're surprised it barely makes sense... yeah.

Also were forced into making it 3D since it was the trend at the time despite the crew having no experience with 3D. If you're wondering why the blood is pink it's to try and make up for the fact that 3D naturally softens picture colour. They went about it in the worst way and it just looks pink

V is easily the one I don't like watching just because I don't think it has the fun value of the other ones (or is legitimately good to make up for it). It just falls in the middle. Also the main game is completely predictable and lame. Saw VI is the fan fav though (it's really fucking awesome)

Which one are you on? Have to warn you, 5 is the only real boring (unfortunately unskippable) one. They otherwise all range from legit good (6, Jigsaw, X etc.) to hilariously awful (3D: The Final Chapter)

It's easily the most visually gross trap though. The most painful one is proooooooobably in Saw X.
