The color pie BENDING towards gameplay / mechanics has always been a thing. Mark Rosewater’s example for this is birds, which are usually depicted as UW since flying is primarily in those colors. But flavorfully, birds really should be RG, but those are the anti flying colors.

I think surveil duals are much better all around. When it comes to triomes you’re probably playing it around 80% of the time and cycling it 20%. So if the math is about the same and you’re at least playing the dual more times than you’d cycle it, you’re better off with surveil.

I feel the opposite way. I would rather just have Fact or Fiction / Memory Deluge / Drawn from Dreams than this.

IMO 3 color cards gotta be really special.

Definitely hurts combo the most since those rely on finding specific A + B cards to do their thing. Other archetypes it doesn’t matter as much since they rely more on critical mass of effects rather than very specific cards.

I play the white and red ones in my high powered cubes. The red one is by far the best one in my experience since it does a pretty good job acting as a Flametongue Kavu / Glorybringer / Inferno Titan all in one card.

The latter since it’s less overhead to use the same sleeves for multiple cubes. Just don’t ever cross the streams and mix up the cards.
