Cerulean Blue Tonight the sky is cerulean blue The clouds purple-grey and the horizon yellow The vastness akin to seawater But also the false color of oxygen In a nebula too far away My phone camera cannot capture the colors the way I see them The infrared telescope and I have switched roles Maybe this landscape is meaningful to me, alone It is tonight I feel especially small seabed sorrows When all the sand’s replaced the gray matter in my brain And my head’s so heavy I cannot dream And all the ocean’s filled up all my lungs And my chest’s so heavy I cannot breathe And finally my skin’s gotten thick as steel Now that barnacles suffocate my every pore You can declare me a victor Against my own mind I lay now in this bed I'm finally fine. For Whom the Earth Glows I have seen the Earth glow The plankton bright blue in the ocean The ions bright green in the sky She's as alive as any other being Her heartbeat as rhythmic as any other soul’s I have seen her gentle image with my own two eyes Felt her quakes ‘neath my own two feet Breathed her breath with my own two lungs Heard her whistle with my own two ears I feel her warmth with my own soul And for whom she glows For whom she sings For whom she moves For whom does she live? Food from today :3c
Focaccia bread with flowers made out of cherry tomatoes decorating the top. The glass tray it is in rests on a stovetop. A sandwich square made out of the focaccia bread. There is a flower made out of cherry tomatoes on the top, and it is filled with pesto, fried peaches, arugula, mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, and heirloom tomato slices. The sandwich is on a glass plate. You can see someone eating the same sandwich in the background. Watermelon, burrata, arugula, microgreen salad and some caramelized onion and sundried tomato pasta on top of a glass plate. There is also a small fork with a yellow handle on the plate.

The Puppet of Theseus It is often that I feel like a leaf in the wind. The turbulent tides, The push and pull, The invisible hand that I cannot control. It pulls at my marionette strings. I am yanked this way and that In a morose dance For coins I will never see, Placed in a hat that was never mine, On cobbled ground that wears at my wooden soles. When my fabric frays, it will be restitched. And when my shoes fall, new ones will be fashioned to fit me. When the Sun bleaches my woolen hair, the strands will be replaced. And as time will pass, my parts will be the same, but different. They are me, but not really. I am me, but not really. I am a ghost in a shell, A shadow lingering in the corner, I don’t want it, but I am. And if anything holds true, I am a stranger in a strange land. The King of Everything I am the King of Everything How woeful a role have I The rain, the Sun, the waves on the beach The birds that fly in the sky Yes, everything beckons to my command I carry this burden alone The mountains, the plains, little grains of sand Each carved out piece of stone No one could fathom what I feel Controlling each cell that lives They've asked me again to abdicate But this pain, a pleasure gives My perch provides a magnificent view It is a place most tragic, yet grand And when all I love and cannot lose leaves Believe me That, too, was part of my plan.

The possibility that we are living in a false vacuum has never been a cheering one to contemplate. Vacuum decay is the ultimate ecological catastrophe; in a new vacuum there are new constants of nature; after vacuum decay, not only is life as we know it impossible, so is chemistry as we know it. However, one could always draw stoic comfort from the possibility that perhaps in the course of time the new vacuum would sustain, if not life as we know it, at least some structures capable of knowing joy. This possibility has now been eliminated.

Just came back from visiting Mt. Wilson Observatory 🌌🔭
Tall structure that disappears into the cloud cover. It's made up of long white beams and supported by criss-crossing beams all the way up. 150-ft Snow Solar telescope. A long metal pipe that goes through some wooded area. Cloud cover makes this a foggy image. The pipe encloses a vacuum chamber that transports light beams as a part of the CHARA interferometer. Behemoth of a telescope, the 100-in Hooker telescope. It has a light blue body with a pale gray arm. Hubble did much of his research on this scope. Giant wooden disk with evenly spaced squares on its surface. The squares have some old tree pitch atop them, some squares having worn away.

This corridor to the planetarium looked particularly beautiful yesterday evening.
A two story building labeled "Industry Technology Education Center" and a shorter brick building labeled "Natural Sciences" with the "Sciences" part cut off flank a cemented walkway that leads to a domed brick building in the distance. The sky is filled with clouds, and some sunlight softly peeks through. The same buildings and corridor as the first picture, but the camera is more angled towards the taller building, and the sunlight appears more golden now.
