We really have been inundated with disgusting transphobic ads in Virginia - every ad break I’ve seen lately has had one. They’re all infuriating, and I hope Sears is having the evening she deserves. Anyway, I’m proud of Virginians tonight.

Using food to show where I grew up
Ham biscuits — put Virginia ham on a whitehouse roll with dijon mustard, poppyseed, and swiss cheese and bake in the oven Deviled eggs - not a perfect match in the image, but I’m used to them with paprika and bits of pickle Rainbow cookies (red, yellow and green shortbread cookies), from former Richmond grocery chain Ukrops, still sold at local stores Butterstar cookies (ridged shortbread cookies with a dab of hard frosting on top, in different colors), also from Ukrops
