New episode! After years of planning and building the early International Space Station, the first long duration crew is here! Let's meet them, get a taste of life aboard the station, and wonder where to get bootleg movies on the streets of Moscow. thespaceabove.us/episodes/ep1... #Expedition1

Alright, for real this time, the Expedition 1 episode will be going up soon. The plan is to record tomorrow and have it posted by the end of the weekend. So if you wanted to get back up to speed, re-listening to the STS-98 episode wouldn't be the worst idea! thespaceabove.us/episodes/ep1...

One thing that didn't survive the migration from Twitter was the "location" field. I'd be surprised if anyone noticed, but for the last two years I updated my "Location" with a tiny joke based on the current episode. Sometimes tough with only 30 characters! So here's the whole list for posterity:

Definitely! Though from what I could see in photos it's sort of questionable how much of it was still an "electric car" vs "a thing in the shape of an electric car". They seem to have stripped it down a good amount. Still pretty cool. I was there for that launch! Here's one of my photos:

New supplemental! It’s been a long time since the last episode of the podcast. What’s going on? Fear not, dear listener, it’s good news. Well, mostly good news. And really it’s more good for me than for you but– you know what, just give the supplemental a listen.

New episode! On STS-98 we're delivering the US Laboratory Module: Destiny. This episode is a 10,000 word beast with all sorts of fun stories, including quite a few from our buddy @AstroTomJones! Show notes here: https://thespaceabove.us/episodes/ep191_sts-98/ #STS98

New episode! On STS-97 the Space Shuttle is delivering its heaviest ISS payload yet: the P6 truss. We’ll climb high above the payload bay, consider some strange analogies, and both slack off and tense up. Most of that will make sense once you listen. https://thespaceabove.us/episodes/ep190_sts-97/

New episode! On STS-92 we've got two new pieces of space hardware, four complex spacewalks, one mysterious plaque, and something no one's seen since 1967, all in an episode lasting over an hour! Show notes (including tons of photos!) here: https://thespaceabove.us/episodes/ep189_sts-92/ #STS92

Well, it took over 26 hours, and tips the scales at just over 10,000 words, but the STS-92 script is done. Should end up being about an hour long. I'm not really sure how it happened but I basically accidentally did a two-parter in one episode. Should be uploaded later this week!

New episode! On STS-106, we finally get to meet Zvezda, the Russian service module for the International Space Station. We also meet some new faces, move a bunch of equipment, and perform an EVA that may or may not be a milestone. https://thespaceabove.us/episodes/ep188_sts-106/ #STS106 1/3

New episode! This week we take a break from the usual narrative to interview former NASA flight surgeon Dr. Kim Broadwell. We get a glimpse of what life was like in the early Shuttle era for medical personnel, and get some tips on enjoying weightlessness! https://t.co/MsrIZcIBER

I feel like the universe owes me clear skies after doing this to my first rocket launch, and only shuttle launch, STS-134! I'm heading to an area near San Antonio that was supposed to have clear skies but the STS-134 Effect seems to be building again.. fingers crossed!

This Saturday (the 30th) starting at 10am EDT I'll be participating in a 12 hour charity stream for my employer, playing Kerbal Space Program! We'll be raising money for Extra Life, which supports a number of children's hospitals. Come watch! http://twitch.tv/aisolutions

New episode! On STS-101 we've got a shiny new cockpit to show off and a bunch of supplies and equipment to deliver. Let's head to the ISS! Show notes page: https://thespaceabove.us/episodes/ep186_sts-101/ #STS101

Hey folks! I know it's been a while since the last ep and they're trickling out, but I need to push the STS-101 ep to the week of the 17th. It's been weird times (search for OSAM-1) and I just couldn't pull the script together to get it posted this week. Gonna be big though! 1/4

New episode! On STS-99 we've got a fancy new radar, 332 data tapes to fill, and a whole lot of the planet to scan. The episode is available wherever you listen to podcasts and you can find photos, videos, a transcript, and more at http://thespaceabove.us/episodes/ep185_sts-99/ #STS99

New episode! Yes, they still happen! In a fun coincidence, today marks the 24th anniversary of STS-103's launch, and now you can learn all about it! Gyros, Y2K, and broken space suits are all potential problems, but we've got a lot of smack! #STS103 http://thespaceabove.us/episodes/ep184_sts-103/
