31. The Chairman's Lounge - Joe Aston
a must read for Australians. I vaguely recalled some of the furore about Qantas from during covid - esp. how bad they were about refunds - but Aston is both meticulous and incredibly entertaining about how ruthlessly they cultivate and use political influence.

some of this felt a bit Lean In Feminism for me, but the historical recount of Orwell's first wife and how absolutely shamelessly her hard work and contribution to his successes have been erased from basically everything made me: Furious :) Really good read.
