Impeachment isn’t political. It’s someone being held accountable for actions while in office. Just like being convicted for crimes outside of office is treated the way that it is. If anyone other than Trump was convicted of the same crimes as him, they’d never be president.

He was already charged and convicted. They should have carried out his sentencing BEFORE he was elected.

The issue with that is he was charged as a private citizen, and he was convicted as such. They suspended his sentencing which they absolutely should NOT have done. Immunity isn’t part of the equation with how this thing played out.
