A beautifully crafted visual novel, it uses its brief runtime more effectively than most games of higher scope that come to mind. It took me an hour-ish to play through it, and if it hadn’t been so late, I may have done so a second time, with the full context of the story in mind.

Having a superhero movie that felt joyful and hopeful was truly a breath of fresh air. It’s far and away the best depiction of Superman, and I’m SUPER excited to see more out of this entire cast.

Specifically the score only audio cut on the 2003 DVD special edition, as endorsed ages ago by @alexjaffe.bsky.social in one of his NGL posts.
Superman: the Movie is already pretty great, but who knew that the way to elevate it would be to get rid of the dialogue and SFX?

Another one I forgot to log🫠
A legendary franchise that, due to a lack of availability, I had never gotten into, and man, let me tell you, this first one? It absolutely owns. If it’s any indication of what the rest of the series is like, I’m excited to keep going!

I binged through it about a month ago, and it’s taken a while to gather my thoughts. Seasons 1-3, while grim, were generally a good time. 4, by contrast, was a lot. If you don’t interrogate its core themes, it’s easy to see its GOAT status, but it rubs me weird in a lot of ways.

This show’s blend of wry wit, heady ideas and ideals and incredible animation add up to be one of this year’s best shows. I truly can’t recommend this one enough.

This is my, like, 12th time watching through Scrubs, and it retains its place as my favorite show. It’s consistently a perfect blend of comedy and pathos, and the finale of Season 8 will make me an emotional wreck every time.

I’ve been a huge Looney Tunes fan since I was a kid, and this made me grin from ear to ear for an hour and a half. If you enjoy classic cartoons, boba, or just like feeling joy and laughter, I can’t recommend this enough.

It’s quite possibly the best Metroidvania ever made, and I will never forgive:
a) Ubisoft for dismantling that team.
b) ALL OF YOU FOR LETTING IT FAIL.

Mamoru Hosoda is my favorite director in animation, and after finally watching this a second time, I feel pretty confident in saying that this is my favorite film of his.
